Institute of St. Rita


Roccaporena boys' Institute, built next to the Sanctuary in 1947, willingly opens its arms to support families in need. This is a free service thanks to the donations of many generous benefactors, and children and boys are given a sound and moral education, imbued with Christian principles. Since its foundation up to the present, more than 1300 boys have been part of our big family. Many of them have now families of their own; others hold prominent positions in the political and social field; many others have reached high professional levels: Teachers in schools of every order and degree, Doctors of Law and other disciplines. The institute organizes the following schools:

Priests and teachers are involved in the education and guidance of the boys. The Institute of St. Rita constantly bears in mind the boys' future and continues to support them even after the completion of their studies at Roccaporena, thus helping them to continue their studies at university or to settle-in to the working environment.
