Lazaretto

In this place refuge was given to passing strangers; it was under the protection of the Madonna della Concezione; it goes back to the time of the Saint and was managed by a group of women under the direction of an abbess. It consisted of three rooms; only two remain. The frescos (XVI century) have been restored. On the left side of the façade in the first room one can admire S. Montano, overhead, in the niche, S. Lucia and on the right the Annunciation. The building was restored in 1952 according to the design of the architect Lorenzo Cesanelli from Rome.
